CORN BREAD SUPREME

3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 c corn oil
1 t salt
1 14 3/4 oz. can creamed corn
2 8.5 oz. boxes Jiffy Corn Muffin mix
1 c sour cream

Mix together in order. Pour into greased 9x13 pan. Bake @ 375 degrees for 40 min.

I love Jiffy corn muffins! We have them at least once a week here! I'm somewhat of a purist though... nothing added to my corn muffins except butter after they're baked!

As for the poison ivy, I feel your pain...well, not presently but I have before. Anytime hubby goes to the woods, he'll get it on his clothes and then when I am putting them in the washer I'll get it. I'm that allergic. It is NO FUN. It seems to take forever to get rid of too.

I use that recipe a lot (well, I did before low carb). My kids LOVE it. It is a slightly different variation, and it's "corn casserole" with sour cream, butter, creamed corn and whole kernel corn. It's quick and easy. You can put it on while you cook the rest of the meal. Mmmmmmmmm...now I'm hungry. Guess I'll go eat a hot dog. *LOL*

I once tried to make a balloon animal and it ended up looking like a....blob....so that was my one and only try! lol Jamie is quite good at making them!!

Cornbread is not something we usually see around here and the only time I've ever tasted it is when we crossed the border into Buffalo, NY and ate at a Cracker Barrel there. I think you have to acquire a taste for it! lol xoxo

Sorry to hear about your tangle with the poison ivy and hope it heals up quickly for you. That recipe for the cornbread sounds really, really good. If Mandy hasn't used up all the eggs this morning, I may have to give that a go-round to accompany our supper tonight. I think it would pair well with Chicken Divan, don't you?

I love balloon animals...and it is a really great talent to have around kids...tell Jamie to go for it!

I use to get poison oak from just being around it when the oil was in the air....my body chemistry changed after being pregnant...but I use to get it every year....YUCK. Although to this day the smell of calamine is comforting...smile.

Jamie has balloon animal-making talent! I couldn't make one of those if my life depended on it.

Love good cornbread! I usually use Marie Calendar's mix, Krusteze, too. We fix it when I fix beans or chili.
I've written your recipe down and will use it next time. Sounds so good!

oh contrair mofrair. you most certainly can get poison ivy from another's rash. the oozy part of the rash is contagious. stay home!

Looks like Jamie got the cold weather we did too. I won't even bother doing a yard sale here because people want things for nothing. It's not worth all that work.
